Monday morning, and the office is in full swing. The kettle's on a loop, every meeting room is booked and someone's already telling their weekend story. Yet by Wednesday, you can take your pick of desks, and by Friday it's you, a couple of colleagues dotted across an open-plan floor and whoever’s watering the plants.
For many teams, the working week is different from one person to the next. Some are in every day, some split their time between home and the office, while plenty get to choose which days they come in. In fact, more than a quarter of working adults in Great Britain were hybrid working in early 2025, according to the ONS.
The catch? Finding a day when everyone's actually in. It's one of the things we're asked about most at the moment, and our answer is simple: we will bring team building to you.
Something to come in for
When something's happening in the office, people plan around it, with something extra to look forward to besides the usual emails and meetings.
In a 2026 workplace survey for Kahoot!, 57% of UK office workers said meetings work better when colleagues have had a chance to connect first. Spend an hour side by side making or doing something, and you find the chat flows without anyone trying. By the next meeting, that colleague isn't a name on a screen anymore; they're the one whose candle came out gloriously wonky.
Office team building that fits your space and day
We begin in the same place we always do: what you'd like the session to do for your team. Maybe it's bringing a hybrid team back together, welcoming new starters or saying thank you after a busy quarter. Once we know your aims, we'll suggest the activity to suit. Most of our pop-up sessions run over lunchtime or straight after work, so nobody loses half a day.
Our one-hour candle making workshop is a favourite. Everyone rolls and decorates their own beeswax candle to take home, and there's no mess to deal with.
If you'd like a bit more noise, our drumming workshop builds from a few nervous taps to a thundering finale, the whole room playing as one. No musical experience needed, but we suggest booking after work and warning the neighbours!
Let's be honest, not everyone cheers when a team activity lands in the diary. We've run thousands of these sessions, and there's nearly always someone hovering by the door at the start. And that’s okay. We plan for every personality in the room, so the people who dive straight in and the ones who'd rather ease in gently both have a great time. Often, the hoverers are the ones still chatting when we're packing up. There are plenty more ideas among our creative workshops.
Bringing a shared building together
Co-working spaces have their own version of this. Dozens of people from different businesses share the same kitchen, lifts and coffee machine. You know the lunch order, ringtone and favourite mug of the person at the next desk. Their name? Not a clue.
The big operators have already spotted this. WeWork's community teams run team building and events for their members. A pop-up workshop brings that same sense of community to any shared building. Neighbours become people you actually get to know, and members get something extra for their membership.
Simpler than you might think
Office team building asks very little of you. We bring everything, set it up and clear it away afterwards. There's no venue to book, no transport to organise and no full day out of the diary. A meeting room or breakout area is usually all we need.
We've been running team days as a family business for nearly thirty years, and if we've learned one thing, it's that some of the best ones never leave the building.
Whether you look after one team or a co-working community, a one-off or regular pop-up could be just the thing to bring people together. Get in touch to plan your first pop-up, and we'll bring everything else, drums included.
