Abingdon School

Abingdon School offers a versatile range of spaces for corporate meetings, events, dinners, parties and team-building activities. With modern facilities, flexible indoor spaces and attractive outdoor areas, the school provides a variety of options to suit different events and group sizes.

The Amey Theatre sits at the heart of Abingdon School’s Arts Centre. Built in the 1980s and fully refurbished in 2015, the auditorium features modern high-specification technical facilities, a large ‘apron’ stage and projection facilities, including an 8m x 5m cinema-standard projection screen. The versatile space can be adapted for a wide range of uses, with a standard set-up seating 434 attendees comfortably and the option to increase capacity to 450 at an additional cost.

Adjoining the main auditorium, The Pavilion is a state-of-the-art contemporary space featuring a bar, café kitchen, wellness area and a variety of dining and seating options. Available to hire separately or alongside the Amey Theatre, it can accommodate up to 246 attendees, or up to 210 for a dining table-only event. The Pavilion overlooks the school lawns and has an outdoor terrace, making it a great space for networking, refreshments or as an addition to team-building activities.

Outside the Pavilion, the school’s iconic front lawn is overlooked by historic buildings and provides plenty of space for activities of all sizes. With parking nearby and refreshments and facilities close at hand, the outdoor space offers a flexible option for teams looking to incorporate activities into their event.

Abingdon School Enterprises is responsible for managing the Abingdon Foundation’s sport and leisure facilities (the Sports Centre, Tilsley Park and Amey Theatre) and various commercial activities. Find out more here.
